My family, on the prospect of our new kitten and our other animals living together:
- Mom: They're gonna have to learn to coexist, eventually.
- Me: The cats always do this. Twister was a grumpy old man for a while when we got Piper, but he's over it, now. And I can't blame her for being freaked out by Star. She's like fifty times her size; she's probably like, "What is this freight train coming towards me?".
- Sister: I like how she knows what a freight train is, but not a dog.

I feel as though some kind of faith has been restored in me, this weekend.
I’m not sure if it was the Kishi Bashi/banjo god, the breakfast in bed, the all-chick brofest that just happened for a good five straight hours, or maybe just something awesome in the air I can’t explain. Whatever it is, It’s got me feeling some thorough kind of contentment I haven’t felt in a real hot minute.
